Turban-tastic

I love how exotic and delicious these headbands/turbans look. However, as I am foreign enough, it is difficult for me to pull it off without people assuming it's something I wear for religious purposes. I think you have to be blond haired and blue eyed for it to look best... Mary-Kate in particular is totally rocking it.

I bought a bunch of fabric last time I went home to Portsmouth - if anyone knows a cheap place to get fabric in London, please let me know - and I haven't had much time to do anything significant with it. However. I knocked together a turban-type-headbandy-thing a few days ago and although I love it, I'm not sure it's working. I love the lilac colour (I had a momentary pastel jersey fabricfetish whilst at Fabricland) but I'm not sure it's 'me'... whatever that is. Anyway, I think it has potential...

Here is the delicious lilac colour

And the minty one...

My hair doesn't really do the whole flat, grungy thing, sorry...

Shameful pout, I apologise...

Although I must admit, wearing it with my hair up is gonna be a fantastic ear warmer on my bike!

I'm thinking about making a bunch... So watch this space if you're interested...
