Does One Size Fit All?
Here is a preview of V magazine's new issue, the issue about size. One model is a regular model size and one is a 'plus size' model. >>>
Jacquelyn: 5 ft, 9 in; 32/24/34
Crystal Renn: 5 ft, 9 in; 36/31/41
My first impression is that when the models are placed next to each other, the 'plus size' girl looks especially big, when she is, in fact, smaller than the US or UK average lady. Not sure if I like the concept.
I also kinda think that the plus size model looks sexy in some of the pictures and it made me realise that a sexy woman detracts from the clothes...
...is this why skinny girls are used? So that the clothes are the focus?
