LUX
It was my first time in Selfridges today. Yes, that's right, as a fashion student, I have never been in Selfridges before. To be honest I've never really needed to. Plus deep down I've always thought, when I can buy a handbag, I will (maybe in cash, just to show off). Anyway, a couple of good things came from this visit.
1. Remember the makeup tutorial video I posted? The pixiwoo one of the Halloween makeup, I met her (Nicola) today! I was walking past the Illamasqua counter and the girl I was with pointed her out, we spent some time getting excited, then walked up to her and declared our love. It was all very fantastic. Thank you for being so nice!!
2. Louboutins, Louis Vuitton Bags, YSL everything...
I touched louboutins for the first time ever today!!

Also whilst chatting to some girls at school, I realised my lack of designer threads! Am I lacking? Or is it normal? How many designer pieces does the average person have? That's what I want to know!
Basically, girls in my class that come from Korea, or Singapore buy bags and shoes here and there like I buy magazines! A girl (in a hoodie, no makeup, trainers) was telling us about how she just trotted over to Browns and bought an Alexander Wang bag, just for the heck of it? £900? Sure! Another girl was telling me how she has not one, but three Chanel 2.55 bags... The first was a gift, but the other two were bought on a shopping trip to Europe. After a sly closer look at her feet I realised the stitching on the front of her ballet flats were in the shape of interlocking C's. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh
BUT IT'S OK. Because Sarah and I have realised that it's fine that we don't have all these things. Because when we do, when we've paid for it ourselves, in our hard owned cash, from the pompous sales assistant at Selfridges, or even the nice old ladies at Grays... it will be frickin' awesome.
